I'm still here...

I have been MIA for a few weeks. This is the first time I've gotten to take pics since my surgery. It was nice to get outside and get some pics of my kiddos! I also wanted to use my new prop! I got an old chair and painted in a bright blue! I still have to antique it but I definitely love it!!

Welcome Home Photo Shoot

Just a few pics from our Welcome Home photo shoot. I took the kids out in their welcome home outfits that they wore to pick Daddy up from a year long tour in Afghanistan. He flies Chinooks so that's the helicopter they are showing off.

Shoot Camp

Saturday I took a photography class called Shoot Camp. (check them out at http://www.shootcamp.blogspot.com/) It was an amazing class. I learned a ton and feel so much more comfortable and confident in my pictures. I got to take it with Veronica and Kasey which made it even better. Below is a class shot of our "tough" face. We were "ordered" practice today and play with our cameras. Here are a few of my pictures. I have gone completely off automatic and now use all manual settings. It feels great!

Baby Shower Invitations

I was so honored and excited to do baby shower invitations for one of my best friends, Danielle. We started designing her invitations after she picked out some of the party decor. She is going with the color scheme in these plates.

I love this because nothing about it says baby baby baby. It's a baby shower and you want it to look like one, but no one says you have to use all pale, boring colors. These colors are fun and vibrant. So from here...I designed the invitations. She added a cute poem that explained a little bit about their unique situation being a military family.

The point of these posts are to show you that I design invitations and announcements that are completely custom to what you want. You can send me swatches or napkins or even plates of what you are wanting to match and I will base your invitation off of that. You could even just give me a general idea of what you are looking for and we can go from there. You will get several proofs until we have it perfect. You can also order any of the custom invitations that I have done for others if you so choose. I want your invitation to be a perfect representation of you and the event you are planning.

You can email me any time at holly.winchell@gmail.com or message me on Facebook.

Bachelorette Invitations

I am so very excited to be designing the Bachelorette Party Invitations for one of my best friends, Kasey! I've known her forever (well since college). We were friends pretty much from the second we met! I am so excited and honored to be apart of her special day!

Well onto the designing...these are her Save the Dates and also this is what she sent me when asking me to be apart of her wedding. How cute is that!?!?

Kasey is as country as they come so this is so perfect for her. When asked to do the bachelorette invitations I thought I would stick to the country theme with a little bit of sass! So this is what I have come up with for her! Its country, but not too country and its pink and fun...just like her!
The blank box in the bottom will tell the girls when and where to meet and all of the fun details!

This should be one unforgettable night!

Welcome Back!

My goal when starting this blog was to document the start of my business taking you kind of behind the scenes of how I run things and also to show you my latest work. Well, 2 kids + 1 of me = pure craziness! I have been a complete blogger slacker. I've been crazy busy trying to get things set up so I can start selling invitations and announcements. I've spent most of my time working on my facebook page posting things on there. You can view that here... http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Holly-Winchell-Paperie-Photography/147251751966092. Tell your friends! I'm going to try to be better about updating this now that I have gotten into a schedule at home with the kids.

Remember...I do custom work! I love working with customers making their invitation/announcement personal and perfect. Email me at holly.winchell@gmail.com to ask any questions! I'm happy to answer! New post coming soon! (Probably today)
